How to refresh curls

Usually, we look to refresh our curls when we’ve hit day two or three post-wash. Waking up in the morning and seeing your curls flat and frizzy, not bouncy and healthy like your wash day is really frustrating. If we could keep our hair looking wash-day ready all the time, we would! But like everything in this world, hair needs water.

Using water only.

A way to refresh your curls, and this goes out to those who have oily hair, is to simply refresh with water. For those with oily hair, adding extra product in before wash-day may not be your go-to. You can use a spray bottle filled with water to control the amount of water added to your hair. Simply apply and scrunch!

Using water and gel

Gels that contain high amounts of water-loving ingredients that help to seal in water on the hair shaft. We use distilled water, flaxseed and aloe vera gel in our gel!

After applying water to your hair, you want to use a pea-sized amount of gel and apply this to one section of your hair using praying hands. Repeat until all sections of hair are complete. Scrunch your hair toward the scalp and leave to air dry.

Using leave-in conditioner.

Leave in conditioners are formulated with a mix of water soluble ingredients like glycerin and light oils such as coconut or jojoba. Whether your using a spray in leave in or pump bottle leave in, follow steps 1 or 2, scrunching to encourage curl clumping.
